Basic Dog Obedience Course This six week course is designed for young and old alike. It is for beginners for both the dog and its' owner. The class is taught in small groups with the use of assistants when necessary. The first class is an Orientation, which is only for the two-legged family members. The class is two hours in length. A manual is handed out and many issues are covered; including the types of commands taught, teaching techniques and behavior concerns. All the basic obedience commands are demonstrated and taught. All dogs are on leash for the duration. |

Intermediate obedience course This 5 week obedience course is designed as a continuation of the basic beginners course. This class fine-tunes the obedience commands & works on building a more solid relationship between owner & dog.This class will help build your dog's skills in managing stranger approaches, distractions, and related issues with the goal of preparing your dog for pet therapy programs, AKC Canine Good Citizen Program and Obedience competitions. CD (Companion Dog ) Obedience Handling Course This 5 week course is designed to enhance on and off leash skills for both the dog and handler and to begin preparing for obedience competition in Pre-novice (all exercises preformed on leash) and Novice (excercises preformed on & off leash). Exercises taught are on & off leash heeling; recall off leash (Come exercise); sit-stays for 1 minute and down-stays for 3 minutes (sits & downs are preformed off leash); stand and the fiqure 8's. Rally Obedience Course This 5 week course is to help you prepare for the newest AKC Titled event. Rally is a sport in which the dog and handler complete a course at their own pace of designated stations. The stations have signs providing instructions regarding the next skill that is to be performed. During the class all the novice level signs will be demonstration and taught. There willbe actual courses set up for you and your dog to compete through. This class is at the novice level and is preformed on leash only. AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator: AKC C.G.C. tests are available. Check the "Whats New" page for testing locations. Private lessons/Consultations are available.
